Since beginning his legal career in 2008, Attorney Matt Jorden has gained a reputation as a formidable Pennsylvania personal injury trial attorney. Matt has successfully litigated numerous personal injury cases, wrongful death matters, industrial accidents, as well as oil and gas field accidents. Whether it was a result of moving his career to Erie amidst the Pennsylvania opioid crisis, or marrying a drug and alcohol counselor, Matt discovered a new calling for his law practice: to advocate on behalf of licensed professionals facing the possibility of license revocation and assist them in returning to their professions with integrity and renewed passion. Matt is fully engaged in the fight to bring full justice for our clients who have suffered injury and death and to preserve the rights to justice for all Pennsylvanians.
Attorney Jorden is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the Supreme Court of California, 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Federal Courts of Pennsylvania. Through these affiliations, he is in a position to represent clients in other Federal and State Courts throughout the United States.
After graduating from Meadville Area Senior High and Allegheny College, Attorney Jorden worked as a scuba diving instructor on a commercial dive boat in the Florida Keys. Inspired by the positive and life-altering changes in people's lives brought about by attorneys, Matt inexplicably chose to leave the sunshine and blue waters of the Keys to attend law school in Lansing, Michigan. Attorney Jorden received his J.D. at Thomas M. Cooley Law School, graduating Cum Laude in 2008.
Prior to establishing the Jorden Law Group, Attorney Jorden worked with the United Auto Workers GM Legal Services providing legal representation to auto workers and their families in Lansing, Michigan. After returning to his roots in Western Pennsylvania, Attorney Jorden established a robust Personal Injury and Criminal Defense practice in Meadville, and Erie, Pennsylvania.
An active member of the community, Matt has been a member of the board of directors for the Erie Playhouse, Erie Runners' Club, and Erie Triathlon Club. Matt has also been listed as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer and Rising Star in 2018 and 2019.
